RESOLUTION NO. 2022-023 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 15, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, CHAPTER 52, WEEDS AND NOXIOUS GROWTH Whereas, the City Staff recognizes the need to discuss changing/amending Chapter 52, of the Tiffin Municipal Code, Weeds and Noxious Growth, to include annual procedures for notifications to property owners for the requirements of proper removal of weeds and cutting of grasses within the City limits; and, Whereas, this annual posting of new procedures to be outlined in the ordinance will serve as the required general notice to all property owners; and, Whereas, this new procedure will require an ordinance amendment of Chapter 52, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the date for a public hearing for March 15, 2022, to discuss amending Chapter 52 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin to change the procedure for notification of proper removal of weeds and cutting of grasses. On the 1st day of March, 2022, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2022-023, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 15, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, CHAPTER 52, WEEDS AND NOXIOUS GROWTH and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler. Ayes: Orris, Olney, Limkemann, Schnedler, Havens. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2022-023, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 15, 2022, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, CHAPTER 52, WEEDS AND NOXIOUS GROWTH to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
