RESOLUTION NO. 2020-008 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA Whereas, the owner of the property located west of Sun and Fun in the SW quadrant of the Ireland Avenue/I-80 Interchange locally known as the 'Lundt Property' has requested and submitted an application for voluntary annexation to the City of Tiffin, and; Whereas, the total property to be annexed as legally described below and included in Exhibit A, BEING A PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER (NW 1/4) OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER (SE 1/4) OF SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 80 NORTH, RANGE 7 WEST OF THE 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of the Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of said Section 33, thence N23°11'23"W, 747.09 feet; thence S75°42'07"W, 4.57 feet; thence S67°10'16"W, 941.11 feet; thence S28°40'33"W, 106.02 feet; thence S01°35'27'E, 181.64 feet; thence S89°42'43"W, 71.79 feet; thence S13°00'24"W, 61.89 feet; thence N89°21'23"E, 1297.59 feet to the Point of Beginning. Described parcel contains 13.01 acres and is subject to easements and other descriptions of record. Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Tiffin that said property be annexed to the City at this time. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve the annexation request of the property referred to herein and shown on the attached Exhibit shall hereafter become a part of the City of Tiffin, Iowa. Be it further resolved that the City Administrator or City Clerk is hereby directed to file the appropriate documentation with the City Development Board in order to proceed with the finalization of this annexation. On the 4th day of February, 2020, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Schnedler introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2020-008, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval.
