RESOLUTION NO. 2019-013 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 92, WATER RATES, CHAPTER 95, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND CHAPTER 99, SEWER USER CHARGE SYSTEM, FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that it would like to change its current ordinances that pertain to allowing connections to the City’s water and sewer utilities for properties outside the city limits; and, Whereas, the City Council would like to eliminate the allowance of those utilities for properties outside of the Tiffin city limits; and, Whereas, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing to amend the specific chapters of the water and sewer ordinances, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the date for the Public Hearing is set for March 5, 2019, for the consideration of amending the Municipal Code of Tiffin to eliminate the allowance of water and sewer utilities for properties outside of the Tiffin city limits. On the 19th day of February, 2019, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2019-013, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 92, WATER RATES, CHAPTER 95, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND CHAPTER 99, SEWER USER CHARGE SYSTEM, FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes: Schnedler, Ryan, Havens, Bartels, Upton Nays: None Absent: None Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2019-013, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 92, WATER RATES, CHAPTER 95, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND CHAPTER 99, SEWER USER CHARGE SYSTEM, FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
