RESOLUTION NO. 2018-070 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND TAKE ALL NECESSARY ACTIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM ALVERTA WILLIAMS AS IT RELATES TO THE HIGHWAY 6/IRELAND AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT Whereas, The City of Tiffin desires to purchase real estate described on the attached exhibits; and, Whereas, the City of Tiffin wishes to make an offer for such real estate also shown as an attachment to this resolution. Now, therefore be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk, to execute the attached offer and execute all necessary documents and to take all necessary actions to finalize the purchase of property Alverta Williams as it relates to the Highway 6/Ireland Avenue Traffic Signal Project. On the 19th day of June, 2018, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Bartels introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2018-070, A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND TAKE ALL NECESSARY ACTIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM ALVERTA WILLIAMS AS IT RELATES TO THE HIGHWAY 6/IRELAND AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens. Ayes: Havens, Ryan, Bartels, Schnedler Nays: None Absent: Upton Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2018-070, A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS AND TAKE ALL NECESSARY ACTIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM ALVERTA WILLIAMS AS IT RELATES TO THE HIGHWAY 6/IRELAND AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
