DocuSign Envelope ID: 16EAA794- 3062-4055-8028-4086FDCE2497 Tiffin/436989-17/SetHrgURAmend RESOLUTION NO. 2017-048 Resolution Setting Date forPublic Hearing onDesignation oftheExpanded Tiffin Urban Renewal AreaandonUrban Renewal PlanAmendment WHEREAS, this City Council oftheCity ofTiffin previously established theTiffin Urban Renewal Area and an and WHEREAS, aproposal hasbeen made which shows thedesirability ofexpanding the description setoutinExhibit A;and WHEREAS, thisCity Council isdesirous ofobtaining asmuch information aspossible from theresidents oftheCity before making thisdecision; and which (1) covers theaddition oftheProperty totheUrban Renewal Area; and(2) authorizes the undertaking ofanew urban renewal project intheUrban Renewal Area consisting ofproviding economic development support tocertain commercial properties, including using tax increment financing forthe improvement andextension ofVillage Drive, anditisnow necessary that adate besetforapublic hearing onthedesignation oftheexpanded Urban Renewal Area andonthe Amendment; and WHEREAS, itisnow necessary that adate besetforapublic hearing onthedesignation oftheProperty andontheAmendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BeItResolved bytheCity Council oftheCity ofTiffin, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. This City Council will meet atthe City Hall Council Chambers, Tiffin, Iowa, onJuly 18, 2017, at seven p.m.,atwhich time and place itwill hold apublic hearing onthedesignation oftheexpanded Urban Renewal Area described inthepreamble hereof andontheAmendment. Section 2. TheCity Clerk shall publish notice ofsaidhearing, thesame being inthe form attached hereto, which publication shallbemade inalegal newspaper ofgeneral circulation inTiffin, which publication shall benotless than four (4)normore than twenty (20) days before thedate setfor hearing.
