DocuSign Envelope ID: 10774661- AC75- 4B6B- 9F9D- 4718D318DB46 RESOLUTION NO. 2017- 019 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY ABUTTING PARK ROAD Whereas, the City of Tiffin (" City") is charged with constructing and maintaining streets and public highways with its corporate boundaries, and Whereas, the City has determined that improvements to Park Road north of Highway 6 are essential to provide appropriate transportation infrastructure for the City and its citizens, and Whereas, the City has determined that a portion of real property abutting Park Road to the west, from Highway 6 north to 300 N. Park Road., is needed for contemplated improvements to Park Road based upon location, topography, and other factors Property"). Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: 1.That acquisition of the Property is essential to provide appropriate transportation infrastructure for the City and its citizens. 2. That the City shall acquire the Property by any means allowed by law, including, without limitation, the use of eminent domain, and that the City Administrator is authorized to undertake all actions necessary to initiate acquisition proceedings. 4t" On the day of April, 2017, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2017- 019, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY ABUTTING PARK ROAD and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler. Ayes: Ryan, Bartels, Havens, Kahler, Upton. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon Five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2017- 019, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY ABUTTING PARK ROAD to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto. 4t" Passed by the City Council on the day of April, 2017.
