RESOLUTION NO. 2016-007 RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF FEBRUARY 2, 2016, FOR A TIERED MINIMUM WAGE ORDINANCE Whereas, the City Council has discussed the Minimum Wage Ordinance approved by the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, and; Whereas, the City Council understands it has an opportunity to address this issue, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set a public hearing for February 2, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. On the 19th day of January, 2016, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2016-007, RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF FEBRUARY 2, 2016, FOR A TIERED MINIMUM WAGE ORDINANCE and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Havens. Ayes: Kahler, Havens, Upton. Nays: Ryan, Bartels Absent: None Whereupon Five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution No. 2016-007, RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF FEBRUARY 2, 2016, FOR A TIERED MINIMUM WAGE ORDINANCE to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
