k 9+ RESOLUTION NO. 2015- 047 8 t A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF Whereas, The City recognizes, that Police protection is necessary and, currently, the - City of Tiffin does not have their own Police protection and; Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that we have previously contracted with the Johnson County Sherriff' s' office to handle the City' s policy protection; Now, therefore be it resolved by the" City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve the Mayor and City Administrator/ Clerk to sign the contract for FY2016 in the amount of 71, 422. 00 for police services. 8th On the day of April, 2015 at a" regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2015- 047, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler. Ayes: Joann Kahler, Mike Ryan, Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens Nays: none Absent: none Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution No. 2015- 047, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto. i 8th Passed by the City Council on the day of April, 2015.
