RESOLUTION NO. 2014-042 APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CITY PARK CONCESSION STAND, FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IA, UPON REVIEW OF THE BIDS AND RECOMMENDATION BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK AND PUBLIC WORKS WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tiffin has received bids for the City Park Concession Stand Project; and WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has identified Freeman Construction as having the lowest, most responsible bid that handles all of the City's requirements at $114,500, plus adding of the Mitsubishi electric heat & air conditioning option for $5,126 – for a total award price of $119,626 ; and WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin desires to expedite the contractual process; now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk to sign all necessary notices, documents, and forms of contract, as required and necessary to execute a contract with Freeman Construction as identified and recommended by the City Administrator/Clerk and Public Works.
