NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: Section 1. That a special election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the City of Tiffin, Iowa on the 18th day of May, 1993, from 12:00 o'clock Noon until 8:00 o'clock in the evening for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City, to be voted upon by them, the proposition of granting said gas franchise to Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company and its successors and assigns. Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized, empowered and instructed to notify the County Commissioner of Elections of the special election pursuant to Section 376.1 of the Code of Iowa 1991 so that said Commissioner may publish notice and conduct the election as required by law. Section 3. That at said election the ballot to be used for the submission of the aforementioned proposition will be substantially in the form attached hereto. Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 5.
