CITY OF TIFFIN ORDINANCE NO. 2016- 388 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 99.06 OF CHAPTER 99, CHARGES BASED ON USAGE BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: Section I. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Section 99. 06 of Chapter 99 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, by increasing the sewer charges Charges Based on Usage. Section II. Amendment. Section 99. 06 of Chapter 99 is hereby amended as follows: CHAPTER 99 SEWER USER CHARGE SYSTEM 99. 06. CHARGES BASED ON USAGE. Each user shall pay for the services provided by the City based on said user' s use of the treatment works as determined by water meters acceptable to the City. 1. User Rates Within the City Limits. a. Base Rate - $ 19. 50 per month b. Flow Rate - $ 4.75 — equal to $ 0. 00475 per gallon 2. User Rates Outside the City Limits. a. Base Rate - $ 25. 00 per month b. Flow Rate - $ 4.75 — equal to $ 0. 00475 per gallon Section III. Re ealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section IV. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section V. When Effective. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval, and posting as provided by law.
