BEITENACTED: Ordinance No. 1996-205, and any amendments thereto, are hereby repealed and following ishereby adopted: ARTICLE I: GENERAL PROVISIONS 1. 01SHORT TITLE This ordinance shall be known as the "Subdivision Ordinance" of the City of Tiffin, Iowa. 1. 02PURPOSE The purpose ofthis ordinance istoprovide minimum standards for the design, development and improvement of all new subdivisions of land, so that existing land uses will be protected, and so that adequate provisions are made for public facilitiesand services, and so that growth occurs in an orderly manner, consistent with the general planning ofthe community and to promote the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Tiffin, Iowa. 1. 03Application Every owner of any tract or parcel of land who has subdivided or shall hereafter subdivide or plat said tract or parcel into two (2)or more parts, excepting acquisition plans as defined in Section 2.01.1)for the purpose of laying out an addition, subdivision, building lot, or lots, acreage or suburban lots within the City or within the area Z:\\ Subdivision Regulation\\Subdividers Ordinance FINAL - 10-27-17.docx 2 Last printed 4/26/2018 1:25:00 PM
