Resolution No. 2026-029 – A Resolution Certifying the 2025 Special Federal Census for the City of Tiffin to the Iowa Secretary of State and the Treasurer of the State of Iowa — I.2

RESOLUTION NO. 2026-029 A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE 2025 SPECIAL FEDERAL CENSUS FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN TO THE IOWA SECRETARY OF STATE AND THE TREASURER OF THE STATE OF IOWA Whereas, in 2025, a Special Federal Census was completed for the City of Tiffin, Iowa; and, Whereas, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, desire to certify the 2025 Special Federal Census for the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to the Iowa Secretary of State and the Treasurer of the State of Iowa pursuant to Iowa Code Section 9F.6; and, Whereas, the certified population for the City of Tiffin, Iowa, in 2020, was 4,512 and as a result of the 2025 Special Census, the certified population of the City of Tiffin will be 7,577 with a housing unit count was 3,394. Now, therefore be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the 2025 Special Federal Census, as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, is hereby certified to the Iowa Secretary of State and the Treasurer of the State of Iowa. On the 5th day of May, 2026, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson _____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2026-029, A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE 2025 SPECIAL FEDERAL CENSUS FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN TO THE IOWA SECRETARY OF STATE AND THE TREASURER OF THE STATE OF IOWA and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson _____. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Whereupon _____ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Kasparek declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2026-029, A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE 2025 SPECIAL FEDERAL CENSUS FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN TO THE IOWA SECRETARY OF STATE AND THE TREASURER OF THE STATE OF IOWA to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
