Minutes of Regular Council Meeting, March 7, 1973. Town of Tiffin, Tiffin, Iowa. Discuss Ken Spivey property with Trailors-- no more trailors to be moved in after present trailors removed. Iowa City Landfill discussed-- Reviewed Contract sent to the Town. How to pay for monthly use, every household to be mandatory??? Clerk to write to the League of Iowa Municipalities for model Ordinances: (1.) Involuntary Garbage Collection for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Establishments. (2) Ordinance covering tree removal, demolition of buildings and excavation of waste materials. Discuss how the Town involved in the recent Vandalism??? Town can't be responsible for supervising those involved in making repairs. Discuss parking at the Lark, there is a problem of cars parking on the west side of Grant St. to Birtcher's driveway. More No Parking signs to be put up. Roger Janssen made a motion to pass a resolution to approve the State Highway Commission Report. Kandy Kobold seconded. All in favor by roll call vote. Ted Spivey made a motion to approve the application from General Telephone for Use of Right of Way on U.S. #6, to install underground cable. Beverly Birtcher seconded. All in favor by roll call vote.
