Roger Janssen moved to approve the Waterworks Budget for 1974. Glenn Potter seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote. Glenn Potter moved to appoint Margaret Stockman, Avis Grindstaff, and Rose Bollei to audit the water reports at $2.50 per hour. Dolores Madden would be alternate. Roger Janssen seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote. Glenn Potter moved to continue to make the Iowa State Bank the official depository for the City of Tiffin. Roger Janssen seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Judy Smith, Roger Janssen and Glenn Potter - aye. Beverly Birtcher - nay. Roger Janssen moved to continue to make the Iowa City Press-Citizen the official city publication. Glenn Potter seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Judy Smith, Roger Janssen, Glenn Potter, aye: Beverly Birtcher - nay. Discussion on Kenneth Brown's delinquent water and sewer bill. Mayor Brotherton will have Ralph Brown read meter. Attorney Neuzil to write letter asking for total amount owed. The Clerk was directed to write Mr. Latta for report on condition of the well he inspected and for any recommendations he has to make. Glenn Potter moved to accept the bid from Noel Tree Service in the amount of $315.00 for removing two dead trees in Tiffin. Roger Janssen seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote. Roger Janssen moved to instruct the Treasurer to invest $7,000 from the General Fund Account in $5,000 and $2,000 denominations and $3,000 from the Water Fund Account.
