TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 The Tiffin City Council held a regular session April 12, 1978 in City Hall at 7:34 p.m. Mayor Formanek presiding. Council members present: T. Morgan, J. Stratton and R. Sheridan. Absent: G. Potter and R. Janssen. Also present: Atty. Sladek, B. Murray, L. Voparil, Atty. Hayak, D. Bartels, D. Saeugling, K. Brown, R. Buss, R. Krastoska, K. Harrison, L. Keubrich, D. Edmonds and Tiffin Fire Association members. The following motions were unanimously approved: Morgan moved to approve the March 8th regular meeting minutes. Stratton seconded. Sheridan moved and Morgan seconded to accept the March financial statement. Stratton moved and Sheridan seconded to approve the liquor permit application submitted by Shirley A. Thompson, Lark Supper Club, Marengo Road due May 1st. Stratton moved and Morgan seconded to accept the written resignation from Roger Janssen, Council member. Ordinance #75-1978 was read. Stratton moved and Sheridan seconded to dispense with the first two readings of said ordinance. Sheridan moved to authorize a contract between the City of Tiffin and the Iowa Department of Health concerning fluoridation installation. Mayor Formanek suspended the normal order of business. Sheridan moved to approve a request for remodeling and building permits by Louis Voparil, Marengo Road as per plans submitted, on condition that if the sewer line is the responsibility of City, the line will be increased to an eight inch line and will be replaced by an eight inch line by Mr. Voparil. Stratton seconded. Stratton moved to approve a request for remodeling permit by Darla Bartels, 310 Marengo Road. Morgan seconded. Morgan moved to approve a request for building permit, McCrabb Ag-Structures, Railroad St. Stratton seconded. Stratton moved to approve a request for building permit by Rex Flansburg, 330 Summerhays St. Morgan seconded. Stratton moved to pay the bills and accept the receipts following. Morgan seconded.
