TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 Tiffin City Council held a special meeting June 28, 1978 in City Hall. Mayor Formanek called the meeting to reschedule election date for General Telephone Co. franchise election. Present at 7:23 p.m. roll call: J. Stratton, T. Morgan & R. Sheridan. G. Potter, absent. Also present; A. Christofferson, V. McConnell, D. White & D. Madden. Following motions were approved unanimously: Morgan moved to introduce a resolution calling for election to be held August 8, 1978 at Tiffin Fire Station for the purpose of granting 25 year franchise to General Telephone Co. for telephone service. Stratton seconded. Sheridan moved to read said resolution. Morgan seconded. Resolution read. Stratton moved to appoint Delores Madden to serve the vacated Council seat term expiring December 31, 1979. Morgan seconded. Delores Madden took the oath of office administered by Clerk-Treas. Mayor appointed J. Stratton, R. Sheridan and D. Madden to interview prospective Clerk-Treas. applicants.
