Clerk's Notes from December 13, 1978 Mayor Formanek presented council with the benefit program drafted by John Sladek for Tiffin's full-time employees. The clerk was directed to return the plan to Mr. Sladek's office and to have him revise the program to include a benefit plan for half benefits for Tiffin's permanent half-time employees. The Clerk was directed to send a letter to Mr. Sladek asking him to start suit on the Rock Island Railroad. Barbara Murray discussed the Block Grant application. Council decided to apply for the same thing as we did last year. Clerk was directed to check the building permit issued to the Chapmans. If it was stated on the building permit that when the new house was finished the other one was to be torn down, the clerk is to then write a letter to Mr. Sladek asking him to begin suit. Clerk was directed to send letters with a statement for mowing services to the Rock Island Railroad and the Volkmans. If we receive no reply within 30 days the clerk is directed to send these accounts to the auditor's office. Delores will meet with Helen Bryant to decide on what playground equipment to purchase with the $150 given the city. The city will put up $350 more dollars towards a piece of equipment. The Clerk was directed to send Mr. Sladek the plans submitted by Ray Scheetz for the expansion of the mobile home park. He is to advise us whether the plans conform to Tiffin's ordinances. Clerk was directed to contact the firm of Dee Gosling to engage them to verify balances and utility accounts. Clerk was directed to change Fred Moore's garbage fee from $9.00 to $4.50 per quarter.
