Minutes-3 /14/1979

Tiffin City Council met in regular session on Wednesday March 14, 1979 at 8:15 p.m. Council members present: Morgan, Madden, Sheridan and Potter. Absent: Stratton. Mayor Formanek presiding called the session to order at 8:15 p.m. Motion to approve the March 7th and Feb. 21st meeting minutes was made by Potter, seconded by Morgan and carried unanimously. Motion to approve the Clerk-Treas. reports was made by Potter. Motion was seconded by Sheridan and carried unanimously. Councilperson Stratton arrived at 8:25 p.m. Stratton made motion to request that the President, Secretary-Treasurer and the trustees of the Tiffin Fire Association attend Tiffin's regular April 11 council meeting for the discussion of mutual concerns. Motion was seconded by Potter and carried unanimously. Sheridan made a motion to hear the 1st reading of the subdivision ordinance--an ordinance enacting subdivision regulations for the city of Tiffin, Iowa. Motion was seconded by Madden and carried unanimously. Motion to have the second reading of the subdivision ordinance read at the regular April 11th meeting made by Madden, seconded by Stratton. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Formanek appointed councilperson Stratton as chairman on the committee to screen applicants for the Clerk-treas. position. Motion to approve the bills and accept the monies made by Potter, seconded by Morgan and carried unanimously.
