The Tiffin City Council met in special session on Wednesday, October 22, 1980 to hold a public hearing for the purpose of gathering citizen input on the development of a preapplication for the Community Development Block Grant. Mayor Formanek called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers present were Madden, Potter, Spivey, Rohret and Williams. Also present was Barbara Murray. Mayor Formanek requested an addition to the agenda for building permit for Ned Allen. Motion Potter second Madden to add request for building permit by Ned Allen to agenda. Carried unanimously. No written suggestions for community block grant were received. No citizen input at meeting. Council discussed possible uses for block grant monies. No decisions made. Motion Rohret second Williams to appoint Madden and Potter to committee for developing Community Development Block Grant application. Carried unanimously. Motion Potter second Madden to adopt citizen participation plan as part of preparation for preapplication for Community Development Block Grant. Carried unanimously. Motion Spivey second Rohret to approve application for building permit by Ned Allen for pole type storage building 30'x40' on his farm site. Carried unanimously.
