The Tiffin City Council met in special session on Wednesday, June 10, 1981 for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the City of Tiffin Zoning Ordinance, No. 1979-83. Mayor Formanek called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Councilmembers present were Madden, Spivey, Rohret and Williams. Councilman Potter was absent. Also present were Beverly Birtcher, Greg Downes, Larry Beuter, Barbara Murray, Mary Hoefer and another citizen. Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting held on Monday, June 8, 1981 were taken under consideration. Proposed amendment to create a Board of Adjustment was considered. No community input. Motion Rohret, second Spivey to set meeting date for consideration and action on the proposed amendment to create a Board of Adjustment for Wednesday, June 17, 1981 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tiffin Methodist Church. Carried unanimously. Proposed amendment to redefine "dwelling" and "trailer" in order to exclude mobile homes from R-1 districts was considered. No community input. Motion Madden, second Rohret to consider and act upon proposed amendment to redefine "dwelling" and "trailer" in order to exclude mobile homes from R-1 (single-family residential) districts at the special meeting on June 17, 1981. Carried unanimously. Proposed amendment to establish a TC district on the official zoning map was considered. No community input. Motion Spivey, second Rohret to consider and act upon the proposed amendment to establish a TC (trailer court) district on the official zoning map at the site of the present Clear Creek Mobile Home Park at the special meeting on June 17, 1981. Carried unanimously. Proposed amendment to allow existing lots of record to develop to the full extent of their zoned use was considered. No community input. Motion Spivey, second Madden to consider and act upon the proposed amendment to allow existing lots of record to be developed according to their present zoning at the special meeting on June 17, 1981.
