Council met in the Tiffin Methodist Church.
Mayor Formanek called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers present were Potter, Spivey, and Williams. Spivey and Madden were absent. Madden arrived at 7:05 p.m.
Rohret reported that Tim Wolfe was reluctant to pick up garbage in the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park until Ray Scheetz pays a rental fee for dumpsters. Council feels that this is a private concern. Mayor Formanek directed Attorney Hoefer to write to Tim Wolfe and direct him to pick up garbage in the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park each week on the same day as the rest of the community is served or that his contract will be invalidated.
No community input on the issue of the easement or sale of property.
Appraisal not received, yet.
Motion Rohret second Madden to make final decision on easement or sale of property to Raymond Scheetz for dike purposes at the regular meeting in December. Carried unanimously.
Potter stated that city should get appraisal, consider loss of future crops and direct Scheetz to fill low spots and remove brush pile.
Potter reported that it would cost approximately $1,200.00 to open alley adjoining Leland Smith property. He talked with other property owners who adjoin alley. Earl Stratton, Lyle Madden, Micheal Potter, Glenn Potter, Ralph and Paul Springmire want the alley left like it is. Velma Beckler and the County do not care what happens to it. There would be a drainage problem unless the alley is hard surfaced or had ditches for drainage.
Motion Potter second Rohret to deny request by Leland Smith to open alley adjoining his property and to leave it as it is because most of the adjoining property owners do not want to have it opened. Carried unanimously.
Attorney Hoefer presented tentative agreement with Schneider Apartments concerning paving at Ice Cream Store. Mayor Formanek suggested that it should state that Schneider's are currently in violation of city ordinance.
Motion Rohret second Williams to instruct Attorney Hoefer to draw up final agreement and present it to the Council by December 9, 1981. Carried unanimously. Hoefer stated that she might need more time to get signatures since Francis Schneider lives out of town.
Council discussed problem of people driving through private property.
Council decided that they are not interested in interviewing candidates for policemen at this time.
Council clarified that open house for the holidays will be held on December 13th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Motion Rohret second Madden to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. Carried unanimously.
