Minutes April 8, 1987 The Tiffin City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, April 8, 1987, at the fire station. Mayor Potter called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Morgan, Stoner, Stratton, Flansburg and Runge. Also present were Stephen Greenleaf, Mike Hart, and member of government class. During community forum, Morgan stated that Mick Kahler asked for street light on pole near his property. Potter will check on ownership of pole and possibility of installing street light on Brown Street. During community forum, Potter reported that Johnson County Sheriff's Dept. contacted him about two people doing their community service work in Tiffin. Mike Schropp will work for 20 hours. Bill Buckroyd will work through HAACAP for 40 hours at 55 cents per hour. During community forum, Potter reported that Dick Gent asked about building house at 130 Railroad Street and tying into sewer stop on south side of 110 Grant Street. When sewer was installed, sewer hookup was left in wrong place and line would have to run across 110 Grant in order to get to 130 Railroad. Attorney saw no problem with this, since Gent owns both properties and if he sold one, the easement would be a private matter between Gent and the buyer. Motion Morgan second Stratton to approve agenda. Carried unanimously. Motion Stratton second Stoner to approve minutes of March 11, 1987. Carried unanimously.
