Tiffin City Council February 24, 1999 A special meeting of the Tiffin City Council was brought to order by Mayor Glenn R. Potter, 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station on February 24, 1999. Council members present: Jim Bartels, Alan Kern, Mike Gericke, Rodney Walls, and Mike Ryan. Absent: None. A Public Hearing was opened at 6:30 p.m. to consider a proposed Easement Agreement with South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company, inc., regarding a perpetual and exclusive easement for placement of a telephone switch on property located along Brown Street and Second Street There were no citizens present to speak either in favor of or against said proposal. No written correspondence was received by the City Clerk. The public hearing was closed at 6:32 p.m. Regular session of the Tiffin City Council was reconvened at 6:32 p.m. Motion Bartels, second Gericke to Approve a RESOLUTION # 1999-15, APPROVING EXECUTION OF EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH SLOPE COOPERATIVE TELEPHONE COMPNAY, INC. Ayes: Ryan, Kern, Gericke, Bartels and Walls. Motion carried. Motion Bartels, second Ryan to approve Councilor Ryan checking further into creation of web page for the City of Tiffin. Ayes: Bartels, Kern, Gericke, Ryan and Walls. Motion carried. Cleo Beckler will rent the ground east of the sewer plant facility this year. Public Hearing set for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at the Tiffin Fire Station to hear input either if favor of or against proposed city budget for year ending 6/30/2000 and amended budget for year ending 6/30/99. Amended budget includes no change in the property tax rate. The proposed budget for year ending 6/30/2000 allows for an approximate tax rate of $10.27/thousand valuation and levy of $128,788.
