Clerk reported that a recently submitted RACI grant has been approved for a matching amount of $7,500.00 for purchase and installation of three city entrance signs. Council will conduct a slogan/logo contest with cash prize of $100.00 to solicit city suggestions for these signs. Mayor Potter appointed Sandy Huedepohl to a vacant seat on the Tiffin Board of Adjustment. Tuesday, October 5 is tentative date set for a meeting with Coralville city officials. Coralville Mayor Jim Fausett has invited Mayor Potter and city officials from Tiffin to spend time considering joint concerns between our two communities. Motion Bartels, second Kern to approve clerk and treasurer's reports. Ayes: Bartels, Kern, Walls, Ryan and Gericke. Motion carried. Motion Gericke, second Walls to pay bills and approve receipts.
