SEWER SYSTEM. Mr. Jim Powers, of Powers Associates, was present and explained the preliminary survey which would be used to decide whether or not the town should proceed with a lagoon-type sewage system. The study by the Powers Company would establish bench levels, directions of gravity flow, planometric layout of a general sewer system, and cost estimate accurate within 10%.
Wayne made the motion, and Bob seconded, that the town make application with the Housing and Home Finance Agency for funds to cover the cost of the preliminary survey, to wit, $500. Carried. This loan, if it is approved, is repayable, without interest, within five years after start of actual construction of a sewer system.
