Roll Call The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Kasparek called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Upon roll being called the following members were present: Tim Orris, Eric Schnedler arrived at 6:02 PM, Skylar Limkemann and Tony Johnson. Absent: Chris Olney. Others present were City Administrator Doug Boldt, Assistant City Administrator Ashley Platz, and City Clerk Abigail Hora. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion to approve agenda by Orris. Second by Johnson. All ayes, motion carried. C. Discussion and Review of Various Recreation Center topics for the opening of the Facility Discussion: Recreation Director Grant Weber reviewed various topics related to the new Recreation Center, with the main discussion focused on workout equipment. The City is proposing to purchase the strength equipment and lease the cardio equipment, with several package options presented to Council; Council gave the green light to move forward, with a formal agreement to be brought back at the next Council meeting. Grant also briefly discussed having Z102.9’s Morning Scramble on-site for the Recreation Center opening, with a date to be announced as the opening gets closer. Staffing needs were discussed, including part-time positions for the Recreation Center that will be posted next week. Lastly, Grant discussed the possibility of creating a dedicated Recreation Center website and will continue looking into options, with the goal of moving forward with a website in the future. D.
