COUNCIL MEETING A. Call to Order— 7: 00 PM The City Council of the City of Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, met in regular session on October 18, 2016 at 7: 00 p. m. Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order. Upon roll being called the following named council members were present: Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens ( by Phone), Jo Kahler, Mike Ryan. Absent: None. Also present: City Administrator/ Clerk Doug Boldt, Deputy City Clerk Ashley Platz, City Engineer Ben Carhoff, Building Official Brian Shay, City Attorney Robert Michael and other visitors. B. Roll Call C. Agenda Additions/ Agenda Approval Motion to approve agenda by Ryan. Second by Bartels. All ayes, motion carried. D. Communications and Reports: 1. Unscheduled— Johnson County Deputy— Nothing to report 2. Diane Hummel— Restoration of yard and driveway from I&I Project at 121 Grant Street 17 year resident— talking about her driveway and damage that was caused by the end loader from the I& I Project. She also advised that the landscaping is still not put back in order. E. Consent Agenda Note: These are routine items and will be enacted by one motion without separate discussion unless a Council Member requests separate consideration. 1. Approval of City Council Minutes Motion to approve consent agenda which included City Council Minutes by Upton. Second by Ryan. All ayes, motion carried. F. Mayoral Proclamation 1. G. Public Hearing 1. Public Hearing on Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Tiffin Urban Renewal Area a. Close Public Hearing and Proceed to I- 1 Motion to open Public Hearing on Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Tiffin Urban Renewal Area by Ryan. Second Bartels. Roll Call: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan, Kahler. All ayes, Public Hearing open at 7: 12 PM Discussion: Nothing received at City Hall, no public present for comment. Motion to close Public Hearing Public Hearing on Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Tiffin Urban Renewal Area by Ryan. Second Kahler. Roll Call: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan, Kahler.
