City of Tiffin, Iowa Recreation Center Attendant Position Summary The City of Tiffin is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Recreation Center Attendants to serve as the primary point of contact for patrons visiting the Tiffin Recreation Center. This part-time position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting patrons with memberships and registrations, monitoring facility usage, maintaining a welcoming environment, and supporting daily recreation center operations. The Recreation Center Attendant reports directly to the Recreation Coordinator and serves an important role in creating a positive experience for residents and visitors utilizing the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service and Front Desk Operations • Greet patrons, guests, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. • Provide information regarding facility amenities, programs, memberships, rentals, and special events. • Assist patrons with recreation program registrations and membership transactions. • Answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, and direct patrons to appropriate staff. • Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Membership and Facility Access • Process membership sales, renewals, and guest passes. • Verify memberships and monitor facility access procedures. • Utilize recreation management software and point-of-sale systems. • Maintain accurate membership and registration records. • Assist with facility reservations and room rental inquiries. Facility Monitoring and Operations • Monitor recreation center activity to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
