Liz and the Springmier Library have truly changed my family’s life for the better. Liz has
poured so much dedication, creativity, and love into this library, and the result has been nothing
short of magical. The library has become so much more than a place to borrow books. It’s a place
where my children can attend storytimes, participate in activities and crafts, discover new
interests, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Liz brings so many amazing programs to this
library. It’s also become a place where our family feels welcomed, connected, and part of a
community. We are so grateful for everything Liz and the library have given our family. She
always makes time to get to know her patrons and their interests. My children look up to Liz as a
role model, and the positive impact she has on our lives is something we’ll always cherish.

The Springmier Community Library is a special place that has truly changed our lives
since moving to the area. It provides a safe and fun place for my children to learn and play while
being supported by one of a kind staff members who have made a lasting impact on myself and
children. We feel valued and known as patrons and are provided with so many opportunities that
it feels like a second home to us. The Springmier Community Library is a rare gem that we will
continually support for many more years to come. -Hannah Ruppenthal (Coralville)
My son and I started going to Springmier Community Library in August 2024 when he
was just 9 months old. At the time, I was really struggling postpartum. Reaching out, socializing,
and connecting with other people felt overwhelming, and I often felt isolated. Over the past
couple of years, the library has become one of our favorite places. We love attending story times,
but we also enjoy stopping in just to visit with Liz Peterson and the incredibly friendly staff.
From the very beginning, they have made us feel welcome, valued, and cared for. What makes
this library so special is that I never feel like a customer when I walk through the doors, I feel
like family. My son asks to go to the library all the time, and it has helped foster his love of
learning, reading, and imaginative play. This library has truly changed our lives. It gave us a
place to connect, grow, and belong during a time when we needed it most. We are forever
grateful for the kindness, support, and sense of community we have found there. Thank you to
everyone at Springmier Community Library for making such a positive impact on our family.

The library provided us a space of community, connection, and friendship during our
time adjusting to new parenthood and living far from family. The staff are so welcoming,
friendly, and fun while also providing a focus on creativity and education for kids of all ages.
Some of our best mother-son memories are from our library mornings, it truly is such a special
place! We couldn’t be more thankful for Springmier library and all the opportunity it provided us
to connect with other parents and kids. In addition - the access to books and programs we
couldn’t find elsewhere was so important to giving us a free and easy way to access so many
worlds and spaces. We love the library! -Aly Humphrey (Tiffin to MN)
