Carried. Mosquito Control. Due to the danger to human beings from the heavy mosquito spray, it was decided to try to control the pests by oiling breeding ponds rather than spraying. Wayne moved, and Bill seconded the motion that DeWaine Slade be paid $200.00 monthly, year around, retroactive to June 1, 1963. Carried. Marshal will be advised that he is free to take two weeks' vacation at any time of his own choice, and leaving town if he wishes. At the time the 1963 budget is made, his salary will be re-examined. Bill moved, Glenn seconded the motion for adjournment. Carried. Margie O'Toole TOWN CLERK Minutes of Special Meeting, June 18, 1963, to lower electric rates Present: Bob Svatos, Glenn Potter, Wayne Stratton, Bill Verry, Ted Spivey Absent: None Meeting was called to order by Mayor O'Toole to consider Resolution El submitted by the Iowa Light and Power Company to lower residential electrical rates by 5%.
