218 E. Washington
Iowa City, Iowa
Attn: Mr. B. D. Beeler, President
Gentlemen:
In reply to your note on the enclosed statement for sewer rental, the property charged for is located in the Town of Tiffin proper, on Railroad Street and was at one time occupied by Jack Seydel. As far as the Town has been informed, your company owns this property, and you have been sent each of the three letters to property owners explaining the progress and procedures involved in our sewer project. Enclosed is a copy of the most recent one.
The system is being financed entirely by Revenue Bonds, so that there are no assessments. The entire cost is being paid by monthly rentals, charged on a family unit basis to each occupied property.
At the present time, the charge for a Sewer Permit necessary before the house sewer is put in is $20.00. However, after September 1, 1965, the Ordinance stipulates a charge of $250.00 for each house sewer permit. The property owner pays for his own house sewer installation to his property line, and the installation must be inspected as explained in the enclosed letter. The Town has a supply of sewer tile for the use of property owners at the quantity price for which they were obtained.
If there are any further questions, please let us know.
Sincerely yours,
TOWN CLERK
Encl.
