The regular meeting of the Tiffin Town Council was called to order on 11-2-66 by Mayor Wayne Stratton. Present: Bill Bream, Glenn Potter, Ted Spivey, and Bill Verry Absent: Clayton Klein Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mayor Stratton received a letter from Mr. Tucker asking whether the council would approve signing a contract with Powers for the work on a water system. The council would then have to pay them $750.00 at that time. There were 45 signatures in favor of the water system, so the council decided against signing a contract with Powers at this time and instead take the lists of names to Mr. Tomtech to see what our next step should be. The Council agreed to settle with Shive-Hall-Hattery for $200.00 and the original linen map. Mayor Stratton appointed Bill Bream to look into the matter of obtaining cookies, coffee, etc. for a Christmas party to be held the 18th of December. Jim O'Toole was present at the meeting and reported talking to Elmer about defuser heads on the sewer plant. We need new heads, and Mr. agreed to send the town a new type head at manufacturers costs if we agree to check them for him at stated intervals.
