Bowman, Clerk Minutes of Special Council Meeting, February 19, 1969, Tiffin, Iowa The meeting was called to order by Mayor Bream. Present: Ned Allen, Dale Flansburg, Fred Moore, Glenn Potter, and Ted Spivey. Mayor Bream read the letters sent to F.H.A. and the Iowa State Dept. of Health by Wayne Reed. The revised plans and specifications were passed around among the Council members. Each member will study the plans before the next meeting. Ned Allen brought up that a trailer had been moved into Tiffin over a motion in the minutes of the Council prohibiting any more trailers being moved into Tiffin. Glenn Potter made a motion that the Mayor talk with Mr. Neuzil to see what action should be taken. Ned Allen seconded the motion. All in favor. Ned Allen made a motion that the Clerk send a letter to the Highway Commission to have the man-hole on Roberts Ferry Road and Highway #6 fixed. Dale Flansburg seconded the motion. All in favor. Mayor Bream instructed Marshall Slade to give 24 hour notice on junk cars setting on streets. The cars will then be towed away at the owners expense. Glenn Potter was contacted by Delbert Neese concerning a contract with the Town to have all trash picked up weekly. The Clerk will propose a letter to be sent with the next sewer bill to get the townspeople's opinion. The request of Iowa Electric Light & Power to build a sub-station in Tiffin was discussed. The Clerk will send a letter to the power company asking them to send a representative to our regular meeting in March to discuss their plans and land needs.
