Jason Mfg. will have no public streets. They would be interested in both water and gas, but if the cost is too high they would drill their own well and supply their own gas. The gas main will end at present north of the Rock Island Railroad. Jason will start building as soon as possible. They hope to go to bid the week of April 27, 1970. The Council was shown a picture of the building and the floor plan. It showed the dealer, parts, work area, which included two stall washing and sand blasting areas. They will employ a maximum of fifty workers divided into fifteen sales and executive people and thirty five shop people. They will work one shift. They would like to hire local people, but will bring in the sales and executive people. The reason for picking this site is the new Highway #380 is being built and they are in hopes Cedar Rapids will get a new regional airport which will mean air freight. They will work in a 150 mile area for selling. Also they feel many possible customers could fly into Cedar Rapids and be brought to the showroom here. They plan to stock 200 new and used livestock, grain, and flatbed trailers here. Mr. O'Connor and Mr. Shive will meet with the other parties and present further plans to the council. The council informally agreed to this. Ted Spivey made the motion to adjourn. Jerry Michel seconded it. By a roll call vote it was Aye- Allen, Flansburg, Michek, and Spivey. Ned Allen, Acting Clerk
