Dec. 8, 1970 To the Mayor and Council Members, I would like to thank you for the raise both for this past year & next year. I have really enjoyed working for the town and it isn't too hard a task and doesn't take too much talent to merely write out a check after someone else tells you who to write it to and you are using someone else's money. I consider it a privilege and it was quite a thrill to be able to pull my chair up to the table and sign those "water bonds" after so many of you had worked so hard and for such a long time.
