AGENDA ITEM # K-5 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: March 12, 2021 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration of Proposal Renewal from the Community Cat League for the Trap-Neuter-Return Program and Council Action as Needed ACTION: Motion SYNOPSIS: This will be the City’s third year partnering with the Community Cat League for their Trap-Neuter-Return program. This has been a great partnership and has curbed the stray cat situation in Tiffin. Below is the text of an e-mail I received from Jo Borntreger and attached is the 2021 proposal which is only an increase of $200 from last year. As was the case for many organizations, Community Cat League was not able to do the amount of TNR work in 2020 that we anticipated due to Covid-19 and limited spay/neuter resources. However, we are hoping to step that up again for this year! We would like to continue the program for Tiffin if the City Council will give us approval for that. Per our last correspondence, thank you for forwarding the agreement between the City and Pet Health Center of Tiffin. We are putting together a formal proposal for working with the clinic and hoping that routing that through the proper channels will allow us to develop procedures for even better coordinated efforts in Tiffin.
