______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL April 2, 2021 • Item J-1 – I have this resolution on the agenda under Old Business with Ben Carhoff’s explanation of the drainage issue that was discussed at the previous meeting. I hope everyone has had a chance to read his e-mail and look at the situation themselves to be able to proceed with the item. • The City’s Auditors have completed the information gathering portion of this year’s exam. However, it will be a couple of months yet before we receive a copy of the final report. Even with this year’s process having to be mostly virtual, everything seemed to go relatively smoothly. • Although we have only advertised and posted the Soil Restoration Program for about a week now, there has been a lot of interest in it. We will give periodic updates on this program as it progresses but based on the amount of early interest, we anticipate this to be a very successful program. • All of the remaining electric services that still needed to be put underground in Phase Two have been completed. Alliant Energy has pulled most of the utility poles but still need to remove them from the stockpile area. Rathje Construction has scheduled a pre- construction meeting for April 19th. They have an anticipated start date of May 3rd. • Trail Phase 6 which crosses the railroad tracks and runs along Mehmen Avenue will bid on April 20th. • Just a friendly reminder of the City-Wide Garages Sales scheduled for May 7th – 9th and the City-Wide Clean-up day scheduled for May 15th. This is also something we have received a lot of inquiries about and will continue to advertise and post for in the weeks to come.
