______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL April 16, 2021 • Just a reminder of the Joint Entities meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Attached is the agenda and the attachment for item D. This will be a Zoom meeting. • As was mentioned at the last council meeting, please take a look at the north/south through streets of Tiffin Heights East as it pertains to the stop signs while traveling on Blue Jay Court. With that subdivision basically completely built-out, if the City were to make a change in the direction or add stop signs to the north/south streets, now would be the time to do that. • Nolan’s Lawn Care has called in their locates and moved their equipment in for the permeable pavers parking lot project south of City Hall. They should be starting next week. • Attached is the award letter from the Iowa Department of Homeland Security notifying the City of its successful grant application for the Warning Siren Replacement. This project will replace one siren and add another. • The pre-construction meeting with Rathje Construction for Phase Two is scheduled for Monday afternoon. I should have a confirmed start date and specific phasing of the project for the meeting Tuesday night. • Trail Phase 6 which crosses the railroad tracks and runs along Mehmen Avenue will bid on April 20th. • Just a friendly reminder of the City-Wide Garages Sales scheduled for May 7th – 9th and the City-Wide Clean-up day scheduled for May 15th.
