I-5 - Resolution 2021-039 - Approving Agreement for Fire, Rescue and EMS - Transition Agreement

RESOLUTION NO. 2021-039 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT FOR FIRE, RESCUE AND EMS SERVICES WITH THE TIFFIN FIRE ASSOCIATION (TRANSITION AGREEMENT) Whereas, the Tiffin City Council and the Tiffin Fire Association has been working to transfer all operations of the Fire Department to the City of Tiffin; and, Whereas, the City Council approved Ordinance 2021-477 to create a City of Tiffin Fire Department; and, Whereas, a Transition Committee has been formed to work on a transition agreement; and, Whereas, a draft of that agreement is attached to this resolution stating how fire, rescue and EMS services will continue to be provided to the City of Tiffin from the Tiffin Fire Association for the next fiscal year as the transition takes place, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve an agreement (attached) and contract fire, rescue and EMS services with the Tiffin Fire Association. On this 18th day of May, 2021, at the regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson _____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-039, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT FOR FIRE, RESCUE AND EMS SERVICES WITH THE TIFFIN FIRE ASSOCIATION (TRANSITION AGREEMENT) and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson _____. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Whereupon _____ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2021-039, A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT FOR FIRE, RESCUE AND EMS SERVICES WITH THE TIFFIN FIRE ASSOCIATION (TRANSITION AGREEMENT) to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereunto.
