RESOLUTION NO. 2026-045 A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2026, ON ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 35 – FIRE PROTECTION – CREATING AN EMS ONLY DIVISION OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT Whereas, the City of Tiffin is considering an ordinance amending Chapter 35 of the Tiffin Municipal Code relating to Fire Protection; and Whereas, Iowa law requires that a public hearing be held prior to the adoption of amendments to municipal code ordinances; and Whereas, the City Council desires to set the date and time for such public hearing. Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the Public Hearing to considerer the ordinance amending Chapter 35 Section 14 Emergecny Medical Service is hereby set for September 15, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers located at 300 Railroad Street, Iowa 52340; On the ___ day of _____ , 2026, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson ____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2026-045 A Resolution Setting a Public Hearing on Ordinance Amending Chapter 35 – Fire Protection – Creating an EMS only Division of the Fire Department and made a motion for approval.
