CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL
May 14, 2021
• Abigail and I are still working on the notice for the budget amendment. We should
have that completed on Monday. The public hearing for the amendment is not until the
June 1st council meeting but the notice needs to be published next week to meet the
publication requirements. I will e-mail it to everyone on Monday and include it in the
electronic packet as well.
• Phase Two of the Original Town Project has fully started. Although the project is in its
early phases, it is progressing nicely.
• Trail Phase 7 has been poured up to the farm field entrance just south of the railroad
crossing and looks really good. Carter & Associates is waiting on a permit number
from Iowa Interstate Railroad to be able to complete the last couple sections of trail
that will be in the railroad right-of-way and the clear zone. We are hoping that gets
processed soon.
• The Public Works Department has completed half of the trim work around the parking
lot at City Hall that Brian Detert talked about at the last council meeting. They should
finish the other half of the lot next week.
• Just a friendly reminder of the City-Wide Clean-up tomorrow from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.
