CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS
May 14, 2021
• Attached is the current rezoning exhibit and preliminary plat for the Andersen Addition
that was approved in 2018. Glenn Vaske is looking to develop the Andersen Addition and
would like to review and discuss with the City Council the possibility of adding some R-2
homes on lot 12 and on lots 56-73. He would also like to talk about potentially moving
the private drive behind those lots further to the north and make that more of a frontage
road off of Forevergreen Road. This would be similar to what was done with Woodfield
Lane and Woodfield Court off of Oakdale Boulevard. Glenn was at the Planning and
Zoning meeting on Wednesday, May 12th to informally discuss the same issues with the
commission. Planning and Zoning was receptive to the potential changes.
• The Transition Committee met on Wednesday, May 12th to discuss the latest draft of the
Transition Agreement. Attached is both a redlined copy and a clean copy of the
agreement. The committee made two changes to the document in the first and fifth
paragraphs of item #4. Other than that, the document is the same as it was after the
council’s review of it at the special city council meeting on April 27th. A resolution is on
the regular agenda if the council is ready for its approval.
• Fire Chief Hill and I continue to discuss, exchange ideas and examples of the Fire
Department Stipend Program. Although we don’t have a document complete enough for
the packet, it is likely you will have a couple of examples on your desks Tuesday night for
discussion.
