Notes for the Work Session - 6-11-21

______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS June 11, 2021 • Bri Wilkerson and Frank Haege will be at the work session again to give an update on the planning of Tiffin Rec Fest. Everything is coming along relatively nicely so far. They will give an update on the activities and events that have been secured for the July 31st date. • Dave Schechinger from Veenstra & Kimm will be at the work session on Tuesday night to give an update on the Well #5 project and to discuss the potential well sites that have been identified. Attached are the two site location maps. Both have an attached site evaluation with estimated construction costs. • Last week Councilperson Al Havens contacted me about an idea to bring a path or trail off of the sidewalk on the east side of Roberts Ferry Road into the Potterfield parcel the City purchase about two years ago. Attached is an aerial map of the area which shows the sidewalk and a small strip of ground on the backside of the sidewalk the City already owns. The idea would be to start angling off of the Roberts Ferry Road sidewalk, behind the catch basin structure, east into the flat area and then continue it further east into the seven acres the City bought. This would also require a small pedestrian bridge to go over the creek but that should be relatively easy to build. We will take a closer look at this on Tuesday with the projector which will make it a little easier to discuss and look at the overall plan of the path/trail.
