J-1 - Resolution 2021-020 - Approving Name Change of Ireland to Roberts Ferry

RESOLUTION NO. 2021-020 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NAME CHANGE OF A PORTION OF IRELAND AVENUE TO ROBERTS FERRY ROAD Whereas, The City recognizes that with the construction of Ireland Avenue from Railroad Street to Highway 6 it now creates a through road, and; Whereas, that through road now connects to Roberts Ferry Road at the intersection of Highway 6, and; Whereas, The City of Tiffin recognizes that a change in street name from Ireland Avenue to Roberts Ferry Road would create one consistent street name within the city limits; Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve the name change of the section of Ireland Avenue south of Highway 6 to the south city limits to Roberts Ferry Road. On the 20th day of July, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson _____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2021-020, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NAME CHANGE OF A PORTION OF IRELAND AVENUE TO ROBERTS FERRY ROAD and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson _____. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Whereupon _____ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2021-020, A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NAME CHANGE OF A PORTION OF IRELAND AVENUE TO ROBERTS FERRY ROAD to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
