______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL July 16, 2021 • Item G-1 – As was discussed at the previous council meeting, attached is a draft of the ordinance amendment for section 9.05. Again, we are only holding a public hearing at this meeting to seek input and review the draft. Following any public input from the hearing, if the council would like to proceed with the ordinance the first reading will be at the August 3rd council meeting. • Project Updates: o Rathje Construction is prepping Second Street for curb and gutter placement along with starting the installation of the watermain on Second Street west of Main Street. o The contractor for Trail Phase 7 has successfully scheduled flaggers for the completion of the last section of trail. The work is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 22nd. o Trail Phase 6 has a pre-construction meeting was held last week. The project is scheduled to start the first part of August. o Both Permeable Paving Projects are progressing well. Additional rock is being placed on the lot across from City Hall and grading work continues on the lot in front of the Dog Park. o The Water Filling Station project continues to progress. The unit is still about a week away from its scheduled delivery. However, I will have pictures of the completed work so far on Tuesday night. • Tiffin Rec Fest is ready to go for Saturday, July 31st. Banners and yards signs have been placed throughout town to help promote the event. Come and enjoy the activities during the day and stay for the fireworks at dusk. This should be a great event! • Just a friendly reminder of the Joint Entities Meeting on Monday, July 19th at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held through Zoom. Attached is the agenda. • Another friendly reminder that I will be out of the office July 26th – July 30th. I will be back in the office on August 1st.
