CITY OF BONDURANT RESOLUTION NO. 200518-153 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE POLK COUNTY SHERIFF WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this Agreement to establish the terms and conditions for the Polk County Sheriff to provide law enforcement services to the City of Bondurant; AND WHEREAS, law enforcement will be provided with a minimum of one Patrol vehicle and one Patrol Deputy within the corporate limits of the City seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day, with one (1) additional forty (40) hour shift per week in contract years one (FY 20/21), two (FY 21/22) and three (FY 22/23); AND WHEREAS, beginning contract year four (FY 23/24) law enforcement will be provided with a minimum of one Patrol vehicle and one Patrol Deputy within the corporate limits of the City seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day, with two (2) additional forty (40) hour shifts per week; AND WHEREAS, the City agrees to pay the County the following amounts over the term of this Agreement for the services agreed upon: a. FY 2020/2021 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $656,651. b. FY 2021/2022 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $689,199. c. FY 2022/2023 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $723,214. d. FY 2023/2024 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $940,991. e. FY 2024/2025 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $987,098. f. FY 2025/2026 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $1,035,326. g. FY 2026/2027 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $1,085,772. h. FY 2027/2028 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $1,138,551. i. FY 2028/2029 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $1,193,781. j. FY 2029/2030 – The total annual contract sum shall not exceed $1,251,593. WHEREAS, a monthly invoice will be prepared for services rendered; AND WHEREAS, this agreement shall remain in effect until June 30, 2030, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Bondurant, Iowa, that the renewal of the Polk County Sheriff’s Department Agreement is hereby approved as presented.
