An estimate consistent with those predicted from past performance. Sheriff Kunkel prepared an hourly value for his staff to help develop an educated annual amount for services based upon the increase in population and needs for services. Collaborating with Sheriff Kunkel was vital to the accuracy of this report and fairly estimating the future costs associated to maintain services with the Johnson County Sherriff’s Office or to begin an implementation strategy for a City of Tiffin police department. Not included in this number would be monies associated with creating an office area for this staff to operate from within city government. Based upon the mutual agreement of the number of officers recommended, projected budgets were able to be prepared in the event someone wanted to initiate the Tiffin Police Department. 7|Page
