______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL December 29, 2021 • Rathje Construction has pretty much shutdown operations for the winter on the Original Town Phase Two project. There are still a couple of signs that need to be attended to and a light pole that needs to be moved. The hope is those items can still be completed within the next couple of weeks. • Attached is a draft of the Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Session report. Please review the document for accuracy. If everything looks ok to everyone, I’ll have it on the next agenda for formal approval. • Please remember that we will be having a Special City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 11th, starting at 5:30 p.m. to complete the formal interviews with the engineering firm finalists for the council appointed City Engineer. There will be three firms to interview that evening all of which will be scheduled for one hour each. • There is also a possibility of having another Special City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 25th for the purpose of the first budget review. This meeting will depend on the progress that can be made leading up to then but as we have done in the past, dedicating one meeting solely for the budget has helped the approval process in both February (maximum tax levy) and March (formal budget). • Just a friendly reminder of the holiday schedule for City Hall: Closed on Thursday, December 30st and Friday, December 31st.
