Discussion and Consideration to Approve sending out an RFQ for the Tiffin Fire Station Project and Council Action as Needed — K-4

AGENDA ITEM # K-2 upon the results of the site evaluation, project priorities, funding availability, and direction from the City Council. The proposed RFQ schedule is as follows: Milestone Date RFQ Issued September 16, 2026 Pre-Submittal Meeting October 5, 2026 Questions Due October 9, 2026 Statements of Qualifications Due October 16, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Review of Submittals October 19, 2026 Potential Interviews Week of November 2, 2026 Anticipated Selection November 17, 2026 This RFQ is intended to give the City professional assistance before committing to a specific fire station site or moving into full design and construction. The initial evaluation will allow the City to better understand the operational needs of the Fire Department, compare the two City-owned sites, identify development constraints and opportunities, and develop preliminary cost information before making future decisions regarding the project. Recommendation Staff is requesting City Council approval to issue the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Fire Station Site Evaluation, Planning, and Design Services. ATTACHMENTS: RFQ 2
